The film received mixed reviews from critics. My wife and I watched My Sister's Keeper from Netflix this weekend. Â Here's the Netflix Joan Cusack and Alec Baldwin round out the cast in this powerful drama based on Jodi Picoult's novel. The fade in and out of sirens leaves a dull ache in the back of my head. If you have read or watched her other novel, “My Sister's Keeper”, you might think this novel is some kind of a “copy cat” because it has almost the same theme – medical illness that has ruined a family. My only entertainment is nurses passing by. Jodi Picoult (who sang the book's praises calling it “electric…filled with staccato bursts of humor (sic) and tragedy”) is the author of the novel My Sister's Keeper.
